I still remember the first time a blank canvas didn't scare me — it excited me. That feeling never left.

I started with oil paint, spent a while getting curious with watercolor, and eventually landed on mixed media acrylic, because it lets me do what I actually love: layer color, build texture, and see what happens when I stop trying to control every inch of the surface. Most of my work is abstract, with the occasional hint of something real peeking through. I like leaving room for you to bring your own story to the piece — what you see in it says as much about you as it does about me.

I also teach art, because watching someone light up when they make something is one of my favorite things in the world. That joy shows up in my own paintings too. I'm not chasing perfect. I'm chasing work that makes you feel something good when you walk past it — color that catches your eye, texture that makes you want to touch it, a little mystery that keeps you looking.
