Ready to dive into the bold, vibrant world of acrylics? This exploratory course is all about sharpening your observation skills and bringing your paintings to life with strong composition, dramatic lights and darks, and rich, layered color.

You’ll get hands-on with essential techniques like proper paint handling, brushwork, and layering, while exploring the seven elements of art—line, shape, form, space, color, value, and texture.

Whether you're new to painting or brushing off old skills, you'll create several striking pieces with guidance and plenty of creative play. Some drawing or painting experience will help—but a curious spirit is a must!

Both landscape and still life subjects will be used to hone your skills. In the next 4 week follow-up session, you will chose your own subject/reference to paint.
