Color Mixing Magic: Master Every Shade with Just Six Colors!
Ever feel overwhelmed by all those paint swatches at the store? What if you could mix any color you need—with just six tubes of paint?
In this fun and hands-on class, you’ll learn the secrets of color mixing using a simple, limited palette. Whether you work in watercolor or acrylic, you’ll gain the confidence to create custom colors that rival those fancy paint displays.
We’ll dive into complementary, monochromatic, analagous, warm vs. cool colors, and how to finally make sense of that color wheel you see in every art store.
Acrylic painters—you get black and white to play with (sorry, watercolorists!), but everyone will discover the magic of mixing vibrant, rich hues from just a few colors. Bring LOTS of paper - you’ll be doing a LOT of mixing.
Come prepared to mix your heart out and leave with handouts for future reference and a deeper understanding of color, plus your own custom-mixed palette! All levels welcome—just bring your curiosity.
